    About the Retreat:

    Root Healing is a Healing Center powered by Iboga and the Missoko Bwiti tradition. We offer traditional Psychospiritual Retreats, Iboga Detox (Drugs, Alcohol, Addictions), Pre-initiations (men and women), Specialized Treatments (Auto-immune/Parkinsons), and Integration Counseling in Sintra, Portugal.

    Our team is made up of highly trained and experienced Iboga providers, medical professionals and hospitality staff to ensure that all guests have a safe and comfortable healing journey.

     

    Description of Services:

    We offer these core services at Root Healing.

    Traditional Psychospiritual Retreats last 7-8 days and include 2 Iboga Ceremonies, food, accommodations, counseling, integration day trip, and integration counseling aftercare. These are meant for those who want to heal anything outside of addiction.

    Iboga Detox Retreats are a minimum of 10 days and include Detox sessions, at least 2 psychospiritual healing ceremonies, food, accommodations, medical screening, medical monitoring, counseling, and extensive aftercare. These are meant solely for people who struggle with addiction.

    Specialized treatment programs for certain conditions like Parkinson's and Autoimmune disease.

    Pre-initiations are an add-on service offered to guests of psychospiritual retreats at an additional charge. This is such a great way to connect to yourself and the Bwiti tradition.

    Overview of Experience:

    Experience before the retreat:
    Once you have completed our intake process, the preparation experience is simple. Think about your intention and bring some questions to which you want answers. Eat nourishing, healthy meals leading up to the retreat. But don't worry, we will help you with the rest.

    Experience at the retreat:
    The experience is unique to each person, but all guests will be completely cared for from the moment they arrive until departure. We will pick you up/drop you off from the airport/hotel. You will have nourishing tasty meals, beautiful accommodations, nature to walk in on-site, counseling throughout, 2 Bwiti Iboga ceremonies, and more. The common thread for all guests' experiences is a dismantling of unhealthy patterns of thinking, healing the root causes of issues, connection to truth, and a deep reconnection to themselves (soul). This is a clear experience of turning inward and rooting into yourself, not something that takes you outward with cryptic visions.

    Experience after the retreat:
    Integration/aftercare is something we take very seriously as it is so important to lasting healing. We offer an extensive 6-month integration program included in the package for our clients. This includes integration calls, integration packets (pdf), access to our aftercare program, and more. For those who wish to have more time to integrate in-person with our team, we also offer an aftercare program here in Sintra.

    Intake Process:

    Guests must complete an initial health questionnaire, submit an EKG and liver panel, and then do an intake call with someone on our team.

    How does this Center source medicine?:

    All of our medicine comes directly from our Bwiti family in Gabon and is brought back to Portugal by our team. The Bwiti have been the shepherds of this medicine for thousands of years and know how to handle the increase in worldly demand. Most importantly, though, all our medicine is traditionally grown and ceremonially harvested/prepared. Our medicine has a potent spirit because it had been made according to tradition every step of the way.
