Iboga Wellness Center

Iboga Wellness Center was started 7 years ago making it the oldest iboga psycho-spiritual retreat center in the West.

Iboga Wellness is located in the beautiful Southern zone of Costa Rica 2500 ft. atop a mountain. Located in a small Costa Rican pueblo the main retreat house is a 2 story 9 bedroom home with beautiful green views of the mountains and trees below. The property has more than 100 fruit trees, edible plants, a garden guests help with, hiking trails, and many spots to lay in a hammock or sit within nature. The temperature is a comfortable 70-85 degrees year round.

People called to Iboga come from all parts of the world and take part in our retreats in intimate groups of 5-6 guests. Iboga is a powerful tool for many of life’s problems or ambitions. Seekers come to find relief from depression, anxiety, PTSD, childhood trauma, living within the mind and also to move past feeling stuck, looking for the next move in life and to live the best life they can. We do ask that people do not come looking just to experience iboga. One must come to iboga with an intention to better their life.

Iboga is becoming more well known for its power in personal transformation to shape the life we all want to live.

The iboga experience is not an easy. The medicine goes very deep inside to cleanse and heal on all 3 levels of mind, body and soul. 

At Iboga Wellness Center we follow a spiritual path called the Bwiti tradition. Bwiti is someone who uses iboga to study oneself and how to live life on this planet. The teachings of the Bwiti come directly from the iboga medicine. You can think of Bwiti as a set of universal truths that give us a foundation for how to approach life. The Bwiti has a tool for nearly all aspects of the human experience such as what we do with our thoughts, emotions, how we make decisions, what we do with feelings, how we get centered, how we interact with nature, etc.

At Iboga Wellness we do not mix other healing methodologies or practices. We do have optional massage and you are welcome to do yoga or meditate. We will not be doing reiki, astrology, ayahuasca, 5-MeO-DMT, etc.

The path of the Bwiti is pure, direct, simple and effective.
