    About Me:

    Hello! My name is Arielle Mesa. I was born in Maryland on the original lands of the Piscataway-Conoy people of Turtle Island and I share my ancestral roots with the Celtic, Hebrew, Basque, and Chibcha/Muisca peoples.

    I am a Licensed Somatic Psychotherapist, Shamanic Practitioner, and Ceremonialist with over 11 years of experience supporting individuals in healing complex, intergenerational, developmental, and sexual trauma. For the past eight years, I have apprenticed and studied the path of Curanderismo with various teachers and elders of the Toltecayotl, Mexicayotl, Lakota, Yoeme, Shipibo, and Mayan lineages and traditions.

    As a trained psychotherapist and ongoing student on the path of Curanderismo, I intentionally bridge Western trauma psychotherapy with ancient ancestral healing practices to curate multidimensionally supportive healing containers around the world. Through my practice, Sacred Space, I help the collective reconnect with their inherent healing capacities, restore inner harmony, and re-right humanity’s relationship with all living beings through individual therapy, healing retreats, and communal ceremonies.

    Clients have shared that I hold a warm, empathic, and attuned space for them to explore, better understand, and potentially shift how they relate to themselves, to others, and to the world around them. I walk hand in hand with you, acting as a trusted support and steady presence as we traverse the path that you are calling before you.

    My approach centers the interconnectivity of body, mind, emotion, and spirit. I honor this interconnection by drawing from an eclectic spectrum of approaches and teachings. My approach includes trauma sensitive, decolonial somatic experiencing, internal family systems, rituals of Curanderismo, psychodynamic approaches, guided visualization, breathwork, sound healing, and principles of psychedelic harm reduction. When working with clients, I center the space to the unique expression of each person's identity, ancestral lineage, and lived experience to both explore and heal the material and ethereal impacts these have on one's life.

  • My Process

    Overview of Experience:

    I work with each client to co-create an individualized road map for their psychedelic healing journey. Preparation work can include identifying intentions for seeking out ceremony, building holistic awareness around one's internal landscape, offering education and information around dosage, set, and setting to minimize harm and maximize healing, and providing tools to support the regulation of one's nervous system before, during, and after a journey. Journey sitting and facilitation services are offered to qualified individuals who are interested in receiving trauma sensitive and ritually-informed wrap around support during their journeying experience. Integration work can include expressive and creative storytelling, supporting one's system in embodying the teachings of ceremony, diving more deeply into internal shadow work and trauma re-processing, encouraging the reassessment and redirection of certain behaviors and activities that no longer resonate, and offering tangible resources and groups to continue to stretch out the vitality of the lessons received from ceremony.

    Intake Process:

    The first step to working with me is to set up a free 20 minute consultation call to chat about where you are in your healing journey and your current wellness needs. After the call, if all feels in alignment and resonant, I will schedule a time for your first session and you will be invited to complete the necessary intake forms. Our first session will be dedicated to reviewing your physical and mental health history to ensure our work can proceed safely and smoothly. Depending on the service you are interested in, the formats of subsequent sessions will vary.
