About Me:Alicia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelors in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University and a Masters of Social Work from California State University, Dominguez Hills, specializing in community mental health. She is trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), EMDR therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She offers individual psychotherapy through her private practice for CA residents and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) at the California Center for Psychedelic Therapy in Los Angeles, CA. Alicia is also currently working as a Clinician Assessor for the Phase III Study on psilocybin for treatment-resistant depression through COMPASS Pathways.
Description of Services:I provide EMDR therapy via Telehealth for California residents, and accept select insurances. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. Ongoing research supports positive clinical outcomes showing EMDR therapy as a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences (Maxfield, 2019).
I also provide Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in-person for individuals in Los Angeles, CA at the California Center for Psychedelic Therapy. The integration of ketamine WITH psychotherapy can be incredibly powerful for self-awareness, self-compassion, deep inner work, healing and transformational change.

My therapeutic approach has a foundation of mindfulness and compassion, curiosity and respect. I am sensitive to the impact of one's social, physical and cultural environment as well as systems of oppression. My approach is warm, relational, collaborative, strengths-based and trauma-informed.
