Retreat Info
About the Retreat:6 days, 5 nights of healing and growth in a supportive, science-based container. Led by a Mexican-American team of carefully vetted, trained facilitators, counselors, doctors, and practitioners.
One of our mottos is "the medicine is just part of the medicine." Rather than leaning on the mushrooms alone, we synergize the power the medicine with other healing modalities to optimally ripen the healing process.
RTH's Healing Retreat is non denominational (no Buddha statues or religious jargon), using evidence-based approaches. But we are anything but dry: the week is filled with laughter, tears of relief, and nurturing support - and is graced by a traditional Mexican sweat lodge ceremony (temazcal) led by a local medicine woman. Our community-oriented container provides a supportive "village," but our emphasis on individuality allows for freedom and independence in the journey.
Furthermore, we understand the importance of integration. We will send you home with guidance on how to weave the new you back into the life you came from, and also provide resources for your family and loved ones, too. We continue the integration with online group meetings as well, so you can continue to feel connected, witnessed, and accountable for living the best life possible. We also offer one-on-one integration sessions with the same providers who were with you on the retreat (at additional cost).
The psilocybin sessions themselves vary in format, to allow you to experience the same medicine in different formats for optimized healing. This includes two individual sessions that happen during the daytime, plus one group ceremony that goes late into the night. It's amazing how the different structures allow for different layers of the medicine to emerge.
We know that there's more to integration than just sitting on our bums and talking. While we have (lots of) group sharing included in the programming, we also mix it up with somatic-oriented approaches, shadow work (similar to drama therapy), and art therapy sessions.
Our providers agree that the depth and breadth of healing that happen on group retreats is simply unrivaled. In other words: after years of doing private sessions with clients, we have changed our format to focus on groups - simply because groups work better most of the time.
WE WELCOME PEOPLE ON ANTIDEPRESSANT MEDICATIONS, AS WELL AS PSYCHEDELIC "FIRST TIMERS."

Overview of Experience:6 days, 5 nights of transformational healing with evidence-based approaches. Our motto is "the medicine is just part of the medicine." Rather than relying too heavily on psilocybin to do all the work, we focus instead on synergy to help you truly get the most out of the experience.
