Alma Healing Center

Alma Healing Center bridges a gap between indigenous, traditional (and often conservative) practices and the modern day use and need for healing through psychedelic medicine. When we work with the medicines, our prayers are intentionally aimed toward the purest of vibrations: gratitude, compassion, kindness and love. In our ceremonies, we open a space to connect with our true selves and our generous, beautiful natural world - an important reminder of the love from which we come from and that is always surrounding and nourishing us.

When you attend one of our retreats, you are invited to do the same. To allow yourself to open, unfold, step out of your comfort zone and see and feel the world from a new perspective. We don't need the medicines to accomplish this, but they are incredible tools and teachers that help us open our hearts and see what we usually are unable to see because of all of our modern day distractions.

Ours is a small operation, which is why our retreats are more affordable, generally. We accompany you throughout the process, answering your questions, coaching you to focus on your breath during the hardest moments, or simply accompanying you to the bathroom. We are humble practitioners that deeply believe in being of service as a path to true happiness.

In our cloudforest space, we are completely disconnected and off-grid (no internet or phone signal). In other words, no interference and, if you allow yourself to relax and breathe, the vibrations of the surrounding pure and natural environment begin to heal you. In fact, even if you are unable to relax, it is still healing you. That is the magic of our natural world, of our non human family. You're invited to swim in a cold, crystalline river every day, to learn to accept the mosquitos and help us make trails, stairs, take care of our plants and more. All of this is part of your, and our, RE-connection and healing.

Upon leaving the retreat, you'll pass through many phases, especially if you travel immediately. We encourage people to take a few days extra in the cloudforest and decompress without too many distractions and obligations at home. A lot of what you experienced might be unclear and many questions will arise. We are available on Whatsapp if that is the case, and are always happy to hear from you. During this phase, we strongly encourage you to make art, sing, dance - it is one of the purest manifestations of god when we create art and it also helps to process that which cannot be analyzed or explained. In the months that follow, you might notice things changing in your life or certain patterns emerging that you'd like to change. Inexplicably, you're more aware of your emotions, your state of mind and you begin to take steps to improve things. After a year or so, you realize you could do a bit more work and use a bit more of healing, and you come back - we will always welcome you.
