About Me:I am a GPhC licensed prescribing pharmacist from London, UK. I graduated from UCL in 2008 and went on to complete my UK-based independent prescriber course at King's College in 2014. After a decade of working in a community setting working with a wide range of patients with addiction and mental health issues, I started Voyager Medical. At the company, I worked to develop medical governance systems and clinical protocols to ensure medicine administration including psychedelics such as esketamine (Spravato) were administered to Best Practice.
How I work with clients
I start by taking a detailed medical history and reviewing it against established best practice for inclusion into therapy. Once a direction of therapy has been established I often introduce some of the most recent psychedelic research to patients. I have a large library of psychedelic medicine clinical papers and I find discussing specific topics helps to reduce any anxiety felt toward therapy.Description of Services:I have worked with over 300 patients preparing for and integrating psychedelic medicine experiences. As a medicine specialist, I believe my strengths lie in looking at comorbidities, side effects and understanding the most current up-to-date scientific literature in the area.

Overview of Experience:Creating a safe and transformative journey through psychedelic preparation, experience, and integration involves a comprehensive approach. In the preparation phase, participants must be educated about the chosen psychedelic, set clear intentions, and address emotional readiness. During the experience, ensuring a secure and supportive environment is essential. This includes designating a safe space, providing a trained guide if possible, curating appropriate music and lighting, and having an emergency plan in place.
The integration phase, often as vital as the experience itself, aids participants in making sense of their journey and applying insights to daily life. Support during this phase is crucial and can involve post-session discussions, integration therapy, journaling, artistic expression, and mindfulness techniques. Prioritizing safety and holistic well-being is key throughout the process.
By offering accurate information, emotional support, and a comfortable setting, participants can better navigate the intense emotional and cognitive terrain of psychedelic experiences. The presence of trained professionals, if available, ensures that participants feel grounded and secure during their journey. Moreover, by facilitating ongoing reflection and integration, individuals can derive lasting benefits from their experiences, fostering personal growth, healing, and positive transformation.
Customizing the approach to each individual's needs and preferences acknowledges the unique nature of psychedelic experiences. This approach fosters trust, encourages self-discovery, and respects the potential challenges that might arise. Ultimately, a well-structured and compassionate framework for psychedelic preparation, experience, and integration promotes safety, maximizes benefits, and minimizes risks, ensuring that individuals embark on a journey that is both enlightening and supportive.
Intake Process:Initial phone consultations allow me to discuss clients' goals and experiences this is then followed up by in-person meetings to try and delve deeper into motivations and clarify any misconceptions. In addition, I use intake forms to gather crucial medical and psychological history, highlighting potential contraindications.
