Therapist InfoAbout Me:I see therapy as a powerful commitment to one's own healing and personal evolution, in the context of a genuine relationship based on equality and respect. I work best with people who are ready and willing to dive in and learn new ways to be with themselves, no matter what circumstances they are dealing with (relationship problems, grief and loss, sexuality and identity issues, negative thinking, depression, anxiety, family responsibilities, health issues, midlife transitions, etc). Though deep listening is foundational, I take an active role in offering feedback and teaching you tools for shifting your inner and outer realties. I see therapy as a sacred commitment to oneself that takes place within the context of the safety provided by the therapeutic relationship.
I hold that people have inner guidance for what they need and one of my jobs is to help them connect with this guidance. I help people be aware of the sensations in their bodies and learn how to listen to the bodies, give permission to feelings and learn how to open to moving trauma and anchoring into core self.Description of Services:
I am a psychotherapist and Atlanta in private practice for over 35 years. I facilitate experiential psychomotor therapy with individuals and groups and I also meet with people in couples therapy. I currently have four psychomotor groups and lead a monthly heart gathering. I am a KAP certified therapist and work with people with preparation and integration for journeys. I am certified in ART — Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and TRM — Trauma Resiliency Method. I facilitate monthly workshops every month for over twenty years and offer couples retreats with my husband, who is a psychologist. I also facilitate a year long journey that leads people into primary beloved relationships with themselves, as they get engaged and then are guided through a step by step process that leads to self-marriage. This is also now an online course called The Marrying Yourself Journey.Credentials & Certifications: KAP, ART, EMDR, TRM, PSYCHOMOTORLicenses: Lcsw

If possible, I prefer to meet in person. There is an intake questionnaire and if you are interested in a KAP session, I send you to my provider who is the psychiatrist, who helps to medically assess your eligibility.
