About Me:I graduated from Antioch University of Seattle with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington, MHC.LH61141092. I have done a year training with Integrative Psychiatry Institute to receive a Psychedelic Assistant Therapist certification. I also have a certificate in addiction studies. I have two bachelors from the University of South Florida, one is a bachelor of arts in psychology and the other is a bachelor of science in health science with a concentration in substance abuse.
I really enjoy bringing awareness into sessions, this may include pointing out physical movements you didn’t realize you did, how your younger attachment styles have impacted your present life, and how what is physically happening in your brain or body relates to presenting issues.
I tailor my approach to meet the needs of each client as a unique individual.  I work from an experiential model that combines verbal exploration with individualized activities that enhance client strengths and offer new tools along the way. I am committed to helping my clients access the skills they need for their personal goals and growth.
I value the feeling of being understood and having the ability to collaborate on difficult things. I chose to become a therapist so that I can provide these experiences to others. I would be pleased for you to share your story with me and hope to hear from you.
Description of Services:Starting therapy can be a difficult decision, finding the right therapist can be even harder. I honor this struggle and like to point out that psychological healing can be a lot like physical healing. It's an ongoing, natural process to grow through different stages over time, rather than simply being a one-time "big bang" moment. With that said, feeling connected too, supported, and understood from your therapist can be very beneficial to your therapeutic goals, just like the assistance from a doctor can be impactful to the outcome of a physical wound. I am here to offer my skills, tools, and knowledge to help you in your progress.
Conquering Today Therapy is an integrative psychotherapy practice of mine, Kayleigh Jamison (She/Her), where I work with adolescents, adults, and couples. My belief in offering therapy is the clients are the expert of their own lives and their perspective is key, but due to the complications of today’s society, this can get lost. During sessions we learn to take one day at a time, be in the present moment, and collaborate as a team to come up with productive realistic goals. In therapy, people acknowledge, experience, and successfully thrive the realities of life.  I will assist you in becoming more successful, empowered, accepting, and grounded.
I specialize in working with people who have been impacted by trauma and addiction, whether this is from first-hand experience or through association. Because trauma and addiction commonly affect the people around the person who has experienced it, I also offer couples therapy. I have experience working with people from a wide range of different presenting problems and different ages. Some challenges clients of mine have faced are depression, anxiety, codependency, boundaries, neurodiversity, obsessive-compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, grief, relationships, and transition issues. I support and work with neurodiverse clients, LGBTQIA+, consensual non-monogamy, sex workers, and am Kink friendly.
I also offer Ketamine assisted psychotherapy in my office.

Overview of Experience:We will work together to make any experience as safe as possible, we will plan ahead for what might come up, how to stay safe and acknowledge psychoeducation. If you chose to do KAP with me the details will be more in-depth and you will receive packets to review. In terms of general integration we will meet up after your experience and being to process the material and find ways to keep the neural growth going so you can utilize as much of the foundation the experience gives you.
KAP PROGRAM OUTLINE (example only)
Session 1- Determining if KAP is suitable for you.
Sessions 2-3 - Expanding on expectations for KAP, what you want to work on and laying foundation for safely moving forward (coping skills, self regulation, grounding techniques). *During this time you will obtain a Ketamine prescription from a medical provider (I have referrals).
Sessions 4- 9 - Will be medicine sessions, totalling 6 KAP sessions, which each will be at least two hours. One hour for medicine, one hour directly after for integration therapy.
Intake Process:This is on a case by case situation. We want to make sure we are a good fit and that we believe your goals can be achieved while working together. If wanting to just do harm reduction and integration the process is easier. If wanting to do KAP we must want to work together and you must get medically cleared and prescribed medication, either by who I work with or by your own medical providers.
