About Me:Orlando Zuniga, LMFT, is a licensed psychotherapist and founder of Transforma Therapy, providing psychotherapy in California and Nevada with a specialization in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, psychedelic preparation and integration, relationships and intimacy, men's psychological development, life transitions, and personal transformation.
Orlando brings more than a decade of clinical experience across private practice, healthcare, community mental health, psychedelic care, and educational settings. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and brings a multicultural perspective shaped by living between cultures and extensive international experience.
His psychedelic psychotherapy work is informed by specialized professional training through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, MAPS, Fluence, and other clinical psychedelic settings. His approach integrates contemporary psychology with relational, contemplative, somatic, and meaning-making practices while maintaining respect for both clinical rigor and the complexity of non-ordinary states of consciousness.
Orlando is particularly interested in helping people translate insight and profound experiences into meaningful, sustainable changes in everyday life.
Description of Services:I provide integrative psychotherapy, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, psychedelic preparation and integration, and relationship-focused therapy through Transforma Therapy.
My approach is relational, collaborative, and individualized. Depending on the client's needs, our work may incorporate relational and psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment-oriented approaches, mindfulness and contemplative practices, somatic awareness, harm reduction, and symbolic or archetypal exploration when meaningful to the client.
In psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, I view preparation, the medicine experience, and integration as interconnected parts of the therapeutic process. When appropriate within the treatment model and jurisdiction, I may provide psychotherapeutic support before, during, and after a medicine session.
When medical services are involved, I collaborate with appropriately licensed medical professionals who are responsible for medical evaluation, prescribing, medication administration, medical monitoring, and other medical responsibilities within their scope.
Psychotherapy services are available to clients in California and Nevada. Availability of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy varies according to medicine, treatment model, jurisdiction, and individual clinical circumstances.

Overview of Experience:The process begins with a consultation to explore your goals, history, previous psychedelic experiences, and whether my services may be an appropriate fit. When psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy is being considered, preparation is individualized and may include psychological assessment, intention setting, education, harm-reduction considerations, and discussion of what may arise during non-ordinary states.
Depending on the treatment model, medicine, jurisdiction, and individual circumstances, I may provide psychotherapeutic support before, during, and after a medicine session. When medical services are required, I collaborate with appropriately licensed medical professionals responsible for the medical components of treatment.
Integration begins with making sense of what emerged and continues by exploring how insights can become meaningful changes in relationships, behavior, emotional life, contemplative practice, and everyday living. I view integration as an ongoing process rather than simply a follow-up session after a psychedelic experience.Intake Process:The process typically begins with an initial consultation to determine whether my services are appropriate for your needs. If we decide to proceed, you will complete relevant intake and informed-consent documents and we will review your psychological history, current concerns, goals, medications, previous psychedelic experiences, and other factors relevant to treatment.
When psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy includes medical services, appropriate medical screening, prescribing, medication decisions, and medical monitoring are handled by collaborating licensed medical professionals within their scope of practice. The specific intake and preparation process varies according to the treatment model, medicine, jurisdiction, and individual clinical needs.
