About Me:I come from a unique background with a mosaic of experiences that have brought me to this field. I blend the threads of activism from my days as a gay youth leader in Boston and an AIDS activist in NYC, of rigorous academic training from my days at Columbia University and the California Institute of Integral Studies, and the spiritual energies initiated by my ongoing deep involvement with the Western Mystery Tradition and Hermetic sciences.
Having worked in the corporate world for over twenty years as a Director of Litigation Technology in three global law firms, I have a strong understanding of the demands we can put on ourselves to be "successful", and the prices we sometimes pay. I also have experience in ways to reclaim freedom, autonomy and peace in such environments.
Description of Services:Individuals
Individual work is core to my practice. I work with adults and adolescents. Together we can explore whatever you feel to be disturbing your experience of life, particularly depression, anxiety, grief, loneliness, spiritual and creative blocks, illness, childhood abuse, trauma or issues related to sexuality, gender expression, and intimacy.
Partners
In working with partners, I assist my clients in their exploration of relationship. I work with intimate partners, siblings, polycules, business partners and friendship pairs. I am particularly drawn towards working with partners who are in the process of changing the way they experience relationship, whether that change is one of coming together, or moving apart.
Families and Groups
I have a broad definition of family, ranging from the traditional nuclear family to families of choice and nontraditional configuration. I can assist you in exploring the patterns that sometimes interfere with the healthy functioning of the family system. I also work with groups, some short term, and others long term. Please inquire for further information about newly forming groups, and groups open to new members.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
I have extensive training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), and In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I offer the therapeutic modality of KAP as a compliment to psychotherapy. I deliver KAP in my practice in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical, which has a specialized medical team that determines eligibility for KAP, prescribes ketamine lozenges where appropriate, and supports me in monitoring outcomes. If you are interested in exploring KAP, please contact me to discuss eligibility and next steps.
