    About the Retreat:

    About us

    Catharsis comes from Greek κάθαρσις, katharsis, meaning "purification", "cleansing", which is the purgation of emotions that results in renewal and restoration.

    We consist of a holistic team running premium psilocybin retreats in the Netherlands. Our approach is deeply rooted in the amalgamation of science and spirituality.

    The project was started by a team of medical doctors and a neuroscientist, who alongside traditional healers make up a holistic team bridging the latest scream in science with ancient wisdom and practices.

    We are striving toward establishing a friendly dialogue between academic science and spirituality,  paying respect to traditional methods of working with entheogens. This is why we have chosen to include representatives from both of these worlds in our team.

    We are committed to supporting truth-seeking souls in their journeys toward self-discovery and healing. Our programs are designed for individuals who have made the decision to explore the therapeutic potential of psychedelics, and are seeking the highest standards of professional support and safety in this field.

  • Our Process

    Overview of Experience:

    REMOTE BEFORE THE RETREAT:
    3x preparation sessions of 60min each, remotely via video conference
    conducted online prior to your arrival at the center, which will include introduction to psychedelics, their history of use, safety, mechanism of action, as well as individualized guidance on how to best prepare for your first psychedelic journey. If you have any clinicians or therapists with whom you are open about your journey with us, we are also happy to arrange a separate call with them at your discretion;

    ON SITE IN THE NETHERLANDS:
    - 4 day and 4 night retreat

    - 2 ceremonies with psilocybin truffles held by a traditional healer, medical doctors and musicians

    - All meals according to personalized nutrition plan discussed with nutrition specialist

    - Accommodation with private room and private bathroom at the venue for 4 nights

    - Live music with 3 professional musicians experienced with plant medicine

    - Two medical doctors on site 24h a day as a part of the crew

    - Optional Rapé ceremony (amazonian snuff)

    - 90 minutes Massage (type of massage optional and tailored to your needs)

    - Yoga workshop

    - Meditation workshop

    - Breathwork workshop

    - Sharing and one-on-one meetings with our facilitators;

    REMOTE, AFTER THE RETREAT

    - Transport: to and from nearest airport

    - Three integration sessions, 60min each, done remotely via video conference

    Option for referral to therapists and other institutions, connecting you with psychedelic-friendly therapists should you be in need and have the desire to start long-term therapy

    Intake Process:

    Anyone wanting to take part in one of our programs is required to first go through our safety and eligibility screening which is carried out by our panel of physicians. First you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding your physical and mental health online. After this, we will set up an online consultation with one of our physicians where we make a thorough assessment of your physical and mental health status to declare if you are safe to participate or not.
