Retreat Info
About the Retreat:Sacred Peaks Retreat offers Nature-Based Psilocybin Retreats in the Colorado Foothills.
An immersive mountain sanctuary offering licensed natural medicine experiences, wilderness integration, breathwork, yoga therapy, health coaching, and private on-site lodging.
Nestled at 7,500 feet in the Arapahoe National Forest just outside Boulder, Colorado, Sacred Peaks Retreat is a private mountain sanctuary where healing unfolds in relationship with the natural world. Surrounded by the iconic peaks that inspired its name—Bear Peak, South Boulder Peak, and the Green Mountain Range—our retreat offers a peaceful setting for guided psilocybin experiences rooted in safety, reverence, and lasting transformation.
The land offers expansive mountain views, abundant wildlife, a sky-deck hot tub, and private forest trails for guided integration walks, where movement, breath, and the living landscape become powerful allies in embodying the wisdom of the journey.
A signature feature of Sacred Peaks Retreat is Colorado's only legally designated Outdoor Administration Area.
Set on a spacious, covered flagstone patio with unobstructed views of Green Mountain, Bear Peak, and the Indian Peaks Wilderness, this protected outdoor setting invites participants to remain immersed in the sights, sounds, and rhythms of the natural world while enjoying comfort, shelter, and immediate access to the indoor healing center.
Guided by the quiet intelligence of wilderness and the profound teachings of mushroom medicine, Sacred Peaks Retreat is dedicated to helping people reconnect with themselves, deepen their relationship with the Earth, and remember their innate capacity to heal, grow, and live with greater authenticity.
Description of Services:Within the ecotherapeutic setting, we will co-create an intentional journey, preparing as we would for a wilderness backcountry expedition — equipping ourselves with the appropriate gear, skills, and navigational tools so we can venture boldly, and meet the medicines with preparation and reverence.
The inherent ‘ecodelic’ or ‘eco-visionary’ properties of psilocybin mushrooms enhance and amplify our connection to nature, expand our awareness, and our subtle energies entrain with the wild, healing landscape.
The mushroom tea ceremony at Sacred Peaks is rooted in the spirit of adventure and exploration, harkening back to the early days of tossing handfuls of mushrooms into a vat of ginger tea, loading it into a Camelbak, and snowboarding under the full moon at Loveland Pass.
Now with precision, intention, and skillful action, the dosing employed at our retreat is calculated based on the Johns Hopkins research, the potency of the mushroom strain, and your visions and intentions.

Wellness Coaching & Journey Preparation/Integration
As your facilitator and coach, I integrate this knowledge into our work together — helping you nourish both your body and psyche in tandem.
Whether you’re microdosing, preparing for a deep dive psilocybin journey, or integrating life-changing insights, gut-centered wellness, and nervous system resilience is integral to the path.
Prepare your system not just mentally and spiritually, but biologically — through tailored protocols that include:
- Preparation: Supporting the microbiome with whole-food nutrition & supplementation can cultivate a more receptive inner terrain for the medicine.
- Administration: A balanced gut may affect how your body metabolizes psychedelics, shaping the onset, depth, and duration of the journey.
- Integration: Post-journey, a healthy gut biome can help anchor insights, improve mood stability & durability, and enhance emotional resilience long after the ceremony ends.
- Accessible and gentle, tailored to your unique needs, abilities, and intentions

"Her insight and guidance was invaluable for me to understand how to work with this trauma."As a daily cannabis user, I questioned how a cannabis Journey could be effective for me on a different level. I found out very quickly that using cannabis in an intentionally healing way is a very different experience.
Karen provides a very safe, comfortable space where I felt I could relax into the journey without stress or anxiety. The music she curated to guide me along the journey was perfect. We incorporated breath work into my session. I really didn’t have any expectations of breath work as I had never tried it, so I was really blown away by how powerful it is. It took the journey to the next level both somatically and visually. I feel like the breath work allowed me to access trauma that I had stored.
Once the session was over, Karen helped me process the journey in a compassionate and professional way.
Her insight and guidance was invaluable for me to understand how to work with this trauma.I look forward to continuing my magical journey with Karen to expand my growth and healing.

"Thank you Karen for all that you give and your guidance."I’ve been hearing my spiritual call for years, but for some reason, I didn’t answer it till I was in contact with Karen.
I felt she was the one to help me understand and explore my inner universe.
With the help of the sacred plant, we did 2 journeys, they were very different, but at the same time, perfect for me.I was very pleased with the experience, the music, the words, the silence, and the end. It was made for me!!
Thank you Karen for all that you give and your guidance.

"Looking forward to returning to Sacred Peaks Retreat and have recommended her to others!"As a newcomer to the psychedelic experience, I was a bit nervous leading up to my day—both about the physical sensations and what might surface psychologically. I was also timid about having someone present for an extended time as I processed internally, and possibly verbally.
The setting for Sacred Peaks Retreat is just far enough from Boulder to feel immersed in natural beauty with views and rock outcroppings, and conveniently a bit removed from the city. Karen’s professionalism, combined with her caring and attentive nature, immediately put me at ease. She gently guided me when it was time to settle in and let the medicine take its course.
Throughout the journey, Karen was fully present—laughing with me, and asking thoughtful questions when the timing felt right. The day was pleasant and comfortable, and I wasn’t ready to leave when it ended.
In the days following, I felt very tired but also calm, with a clearer sense of the changes I want to make in myself and in my life. I’m already looking forward to returning to Sacred Peaks Retreat and have recommended her to others.

Intake Process:Eligibility & Safety
In alignment with Colorado’s Natural Medicine guidelines, psilocybin services are not appropriate for everyone and always require a confidential health screening.
Our goal is to ensure this work is safe, efficacious, and supportive, and we are available to explore alternative or preparatory options and/or consult with your current health care provider.
Step 1 — Initial Consultation & Screening
After we receive your interest form and if you meet eligibility requirements, we will schedule an initial consultation to explore your intentions and determine whether this work is an appropriate fit.During this conversation we review health history, answer questions, and discuss your hopes for the journey. This step helps ensure safety, establish trust, and begin shaping the container for the work ahead.
Step 2 — Preparation Sessions
Preparation sessions are designed to orient and equip participants to enter the journey space with greater readiness in body, mind, and spirit. Together, we strengthen the container for the experience by preparing the nervous system, supporting the physical body, clarifying intention, and cultivating the capacity to remain present with intensity and the unexpected. Preparation also provides essential time to deepen resonance, rapport, trust, and the relationship between facilitator and journeyer, creating a stronger foundation of safety and connection. Rather than preparing for a particular outcome, this work cultivates greater steadiness, openness, and capacity to meet and hold whatever emerges during the journey. We will explore practices that support openness, emotional readiness, and the ability to navigate the journey with curiosity and trust.
Step 3 — Administration Session
The administration session is the psilocybin experience itself, held in an intentional and supportive environment designed to encourage inward exploration.Your facilitator remains present throughout the session to provide guidance and support while allowing the experience to unfold naturally. Many journeys include periods of quiet reflection, music, and rest as participants explore their inner landscape.
Step 4 — Integration Session
After the journey, we meet to reflect on the experience and begin weaving insights into everyday life. Integration sessions provide space to process emotions, themes, and discoveries that may have emerged during the session. This step helps translate the experience into meaningful and lasting change.
We can hold integration sessions on site, neighborhood hiking trails, or on Zoom if you are not local.
Step 5 — Ongoing Integration & Health Coaching
For those who wish to continue the work, additional integration or health coaching sessions are available. These sessions support the continued unfolding of insights and help integrate new perspectives into daily life through supportive practices and intentional action.Healing and transformation often deepen within the Critical Learning Period following the journey.
