    About the Retreat:

    Since 2014, New Life Rising has been in service to the ever-growing community of truth seekers. With over a decade of service, we have amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise that has enabled us to carefully create a retreat program that encompasses a balance of complimentary healing modalities, time for reflection, and community support. We have led thousands of people through the Ayahuasca journey and been witness to profound transformations. Our reputation as the highest-rated retreat in Costa Rica is a testament to these life-changing experiences.

    Our comprehensive Ayahuasca retreat experience includes traditional ceremonies, group sharing circles, Hatha yoga sessions, therapeutic massage, nutritious meals, beach trips, airport transfers and more. Our intention is to create a safe and supported environment that nurtures honest self-reflection, personal healing, and growth. We believe that the combination of Ayahuasca along with these additional therapies can facilitate deeply transformative experiences.

    Our founders, Matt and Jeanae, have been working with plant medicine for over a decade. Our values are rooted in the Peruvian Mestizo Ayahuasca traditions and as students of the medicine, we have completed many Master-plant dietas in the Amazon jungle. Through these experiences, we have learned how to create and maintain a safe energetic container while singing traditional medicine songs called Icaros. Together, Matt and Jeanae help you access and integrate the profound spiritual experiences and healing that Ayahuasca offers.

    From the moment you arrive, we do all we can to make the Ayahuasca retreat Costa Rica feel warm and welcoming. We dedicate ourselves to helping our guests find a deeper sense of purpose and meaning in their lives. Ayahuasca can be a powerful tool for transformation, and it is our honor to share this medicine with others. By the end of the retreat, we are humbled to see the transformation of 14 strangers into a beautiful family built on unconditional love and respect.

    Description of Services:

    Limited to just 12 participants, our retreat provides an intimate setting where genuine connections flourish and enduring bonds are created. By celebrating our vulnerabilities and fostering genuine connections, we embrace the full spectrum of our human experience and together we support each other on the path of healing.

    After more than a decade of working with ayahuasca, we have fine-tuned our ayahuasca retreat Costa Rica program to offer a variety of complementary healing modalities. From our ayahuasca ceremonies guided by ayahuasqueros trained in the Peruvian Mestizo traditions to Hatha yoga sessions, massage therapy, group sharing circles, nature therapy, nutritional meals, and airport transfers, we have considered every element to best support you on your journey.

    5 DAY - 4 NIGHT - 2 CEREMONIES ($3000 - $3500)

    7 DAY - 6 NIGHT - 3 CEREMONIES ($3500 - $4000)

    All retreats include:

    • Medical Safety Screening via Phone Call

    • 1pm Airport Pick-up from Liberia International Airport

    • 5  or 7 Days of Retreat Programing

    • 4 or 6 Nights Accommodation in our cozy Eco-cabinas

    • 2 or 3 Traditionally guided Ayahuasca Ceremonies led by facilitators with over a decade of experience each

    • 2 or 3 Hatha Yoga Sessions that include guided meditation with a focus on ceremonial intention

    • 2 or 3 Group Integration/Share Circles

    • 1 Therapeutic Massage

    • 1 or 2 Sunset Beach trip (with the possibility to see baby sea turtles!)

    • All meals - Nutritious and following the ayahuasca diet

    • Intimate group setting of 12 participants

    Practitioners:

    Matt and Jeanae are fortunate to have learned through a very powerful lineage of healers. In 2014, after deciding they wanted to dedicate themselves to working with Ayahuasca, they became students of world-renowned shaman Don Ron Wheelock, the 'Gringo Shaman' of Peru. Ron has been living in Iquitos, Peru for nearly 30 years and has amassed a wealth of knowledge on Ayahuasca, spirits, brew making, and Mestizo traditions. He is recognized as being one of the original pioneers of bridging the gap of Ayahuasca accessibility to the West.

    Don Ron was the student ofDon Agustin Rivas Vasquez and Don Jose Coral Mori, the teacher of Pablo Amaringo and Eduardo Luna, the authors of “Ayahuasca Visions”. After studying with both Ayahuasqueros, he began working on his own in 2000.

    After completing many master plant dietas under the guidance of Don Ron, Jeanae and Matt were able to connect more deeply to their spiritual lineage in 2022 by visiting the village of Tamshiyaco and spending time at the camp of Don Agustin and Dona Marlena. Don Agustin was 98 years old at the time of the visit and still leading ceremonies. He and Ron are both very well-respected members of their communities and overall incredible men.

    Matt and Jeanae feel privileged to have been passed down Icaros and spiritual wisdom through a long lineage of powerful Peruvian healers.

    Team/Medical Staff:

    Jeanae and Matt lead the ceremonies. They have also been trained in CPR and the use of an on-site AED. We have 2 support team members, one female and one male.

    Overview of Experience:

    We provide preparation information before the retreat, offer share circles after each ceremony, and send integration suggestions/resources after the retreat.

    Intake Process:

    Before we accept any reservations for the retreat we complete a medical screening over the phone to ensure the safety of all our guests.

      New Life Ayahuasca is the real deal. Matt, Jeanae, Craig, and Lina are deeply passionate about their work and take it very seriously. This high level of commitment is demonstrated in every aspect of the experience they create and facilitate for their retreat attendees.

      (1) a thorough medical screening before allowing you to make a deposit

      (2) clear guidance for retreat preparation to ensure an optimal experience

      (3) small, intimate groups with at least four staff members that guarantee personal attention

      (4) retreat activities that foster group bonding, promote health & wellness, and facilitate learning & growth outside of the ceremonies

      (5) a safe and sacred space for TRADITIONAL AYAHUASCA CEREMONIES

      (6) an EXPERIENCED & INSIGHTFUL AYAHUASQUERO FULLY IMMERSED in the world of ancient sacred traditions & practices

      (7) delicious vegan meals that even my husband (a staunch carnivore) said were good

      (8) a beautiful facility with comfortable accommodations, amazing views, a relaxing saltwater infinity pool, and access to nature

      (9) post-retreat integration guidance & resources, including links to integration therapists

      This was our first experience with ayahuasca, and it was incredible. We are so happy we chose New Life and can’t imagine going anywhere else. Matt and Jeanae are in their element and doing precisely what they were meant to do!

      I highly encourage taking advantage of the airport transfer to New Life that Matt and Jeanae offer. Although I wasn’t looking forward to riding in a shuttle for two hours with strangers, the bonding that occurred during that ride was invaluable in the overall experience.
