About the Retreat:Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat is a tranquil haven tucked away in the Peruvian jungle, offering a space for self-discovery and healing. Our retreat is deeply rooted in the indigenous traditions of Ayahuasca healing, fostering an environment of authenticity and respect.
Our sessions, led by dedicated Shamans, offer both group and individual experiences. These sessions are not just ceremonies, but unique journeys, guided by the wisdom of the Shamans and the powerful Icaros, traditional healing songs that are integral to the Ayahuasca ceremony.
Located in a serene part of the jungle, the retreat provides a peaceful setting that aids in the healing process, grounding our guests and reconnecting them with nature.
Our schedule is thoughtfully curated to ensure a balanced experience, with ample time for rest, reflection, and integration of the Ayahuasca experiences. We offer 7-day, 8-day, and 15-day Ayahuasca retreats, with retreats taking place two weeks out of every month.
At Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and transformative experience for all our guests. We welcome you to join us and experience the profound power of Ayahuasca.
Description of Services:At Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat, we offer a range of services that are designed to facilitate deep personal growth and healing. Our retreats include traditional Ayahuasca ceremonies and San Pedro ceremonies, both of which are guided by experienced Shamans who have been working with our family for over 20 years.
These ceremonies are not just rituals, but profound journeys of self-discovery and healing. To help integrate these experiences, our guests have the opportunity to meet with the Shamans, engaging in meaningful conversations that can provide further insights and understanding.
In addition to the ceremonies, we also provide exceptional aftercare. Viviane a natural-born healer is available to assist with the integration process, offering support and guidance as our guests navigate their healing journey during and after the retreats. This level of aftercare is a testament to our commitment to the well-being of our guests, both during and after their stay at the retreat.
The outcomes reported by our guests are a testament to the transformative power of the experiences we offer. Many describe their time at Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat as life-changing, with significant improvements in their mental and emotional well-being, a deeper understanding of themselves, and a renewed sense of purpose.
We are deeply honored to be a part of these healing journeys and to witness the positive changes that our guests bring back into their lives. We welcome you to join us and experience the profound power of Ayahuasca and San Pedro ceremonies.

His intention is true healing to the extent one can be healed physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Overview of Experience:At Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat, we believe in a holistic approach to the Ayahuasca journey, which includes thorough preparation, a supportive experience, and a comprehensive integration process.
Preparation is the first step and it’s crucial for a beneficial Ayahuasca journey. We guide our guests through a process of mental, emotional, and physical preparation. This includes dietary guidelines to cleanse the body, as well as practices such as meditation and journaling to prepare the mind and heart. We also encourage our guests to set clear intentions for their journey, which can provide a focus and purpose for the experience.
The Ayahuasca experience itself is facilitated in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. Our experienced shamans, Don Romulo and Don Winister, guide the traditional Ayahuasca ceremonies, providing a space where guests can explore their inner worlds with a sense of security and trust. We also offer San Pedro ceremonies, guided by our Huachumero, William Menech.
After the ceremony, the integration process begins. This is a time to process the experiences and insights gained during the Ayahuasca journey. Our guests have the opportunity to meet with the shamans, engaging in meaningful conversations that can provide further insights and understanding. We also provide exceptional aftercare, with our natural-born healer available to assist with the integration process, offering support and guidance as our guests navigate their healing journey.
We believe that the true value of the Ayahuasca journey lies not just in the experience itself, but in the lasting changes it can bring to one’s life. Our aim is to support our guests in translating their insights into concrete actions and changes, helping them to achieve sustained personal growth and healing.
At Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat, we believe that the healing journey is not just about the ceremonies but also about connecting with the natural world. That’s why we include a variety of excursions in our retreats.
One of the highlights is a visit to Monkey Island, a rescue center for orphaned or abandoned monkeys. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with several species of monkeys in a safe and respectful manner.
We also organize an excursion to the village of the Yagua Indians, where you can learn about their traditional ways of life and their deep connection with the Amazon rainforest.
Another unique experience is a visit to the giant Lupuna tree, a medicine tree that the shamans learn from. This excursion offers a fascinating insight into the rich biodiversity of the Amazon and the traditional knowledge of its inhabitants.
We also visit the Serpentarium, an animal rescue center with many different jungle animals, including an anaconda. This is a great opportunity to learn about the diverse wildlife of the Amazon.
If time and weather permit, we also organize a boat trip to the Amazon River to watch the sunset and look for pink dolphins, and an excursion to a local Peruvian jungle village.
Intake Process:At Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat, we have a comprehensive intake process to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests.
The initial registration begins with the booking of the retreat. During this process, guests are asked to confirm that they do not have certain restricted medical and mental conditions that could potentially pose a risk during the Ayahuasca ceremonies.
Once the booking is confirmed, guests are required to fill out a secondary questionnaire. This questionnaire asks for more detailed information about the guest’s physical and mental health. This is an important step in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests, and it helps us provide the best possible support and care during their Ayahuasca journey.
If there are any potential concerns or if we need more information, we will reach out to the potential guest for a phone consultation. During this call, we can discuss any health concerns, answer any questions the guest may have, and get a better sense of whether our retreat is a good fit for them.
Once all these steps are completed and we have reviewed and approved the guest’s intake form, the guest is officially accepted into our retreat.
We believe this thorough intake process is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests, and in helping us provide the best possible support and care during their Ayahuasca journey.
Psychedelic Substances Offered: ayahuasca, san pedro cactus, huachumaHow does this Center source medicine?:At Kawsay Ayahuasca Retreat, we take great care in sourcing our plant medicines. Our Ayahuasca is locally grown in the Peruvian Amazon, where it is harvested in a sustainable and ethical manner. We work closely with local communities and shamans who have a deep understanding of these plants and the ecosystem, ensuring that the harvesting process supports the health and vitality of the rainforest.
Our San Pedro cactus, on the other hand, is sourced from farms located outside of Lima, Peru. These farms are dedicated to growing San Pedro cactus in a sustainable and ethical way, respecting both the environment and the sacred nature of this powerful plant medicine.
In both cases, we ensure that our plant medicines are of the highest quality, and that their cultivation and harvesting processes support local economies and the preservation of indigenous knowledge and practices.
