Who Can Utilize Third Wave’s Directory?
Third Wave’s Directory is for established Retreats, Clinics, Clinicians, Therapists, and Coaches who operate within the legal frameworks of their jurisdiction and provide top-notch service to those in need.
A Third Wave approved retreat, therapist, clinic, clinician, or coach is an indication that the provider is dedicated to upholding strong principles of safety, ethics, and professional treatment. In order to be listed in the Third Wave directory, the provider must have completed one of our accredited programs, have a professional license, and/or be licensed by the country/state where they reside to provide the advertised legal service. Detailed information per category is indicated below:
Retreats
In order to be a Third Wave approved retreat: 1) the retreat must be located in a jurisdiction that has legalized the psychedelic substance in use, 2) there must be on-site professionals, 3) the vendors and venue must be insured 4) the retreat business must be operated through a legal entity and 5) and must be in good standing in the community.
*Medical professionals include doctors, nurses, emergency medical technicians, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, and other trained caregivers.
Coaches
In order to be a Third Wave approved coach: 1) the coach must have completed a certification through Third Wave or another reputable program 2) and must be in good standing in the community.
Therapists
In order to be a Third Wave approved therapist: 1) the therapist must be a licensed MFT, Social Worker, Counselor, or other clinical professional 2) must be licensed in the jurisdiction where they practice 3) must be insured to practice 4) must operate through a legal entity and 5) and must be in good standing in the community.
Clinicians
In order to be a Third Wave approved clinician, 1) the clinician must be a licensed medical professional, 2) must be licensed in the jurisdiction where they practice 3) must be insured to practice 4) must operate through a legal entity and 5) and must be in good standing in the community. It is preferred but not mandatory that the clinician completed additional psychedelics training through Fluence, MAPS, CIIS or IPI.
Clinics
In order to be a Third Wave approved clinic, 1) the clinic must be located in a jurisdiction that has legalized the psychedelic drugs in use, 2) there must be on-site medical professionals, 3) the vendors and venue must be insured 4) the clinic must be operated through a legal entity and 5) and must be in good standing in the community.
