About Me:With over 13 years of experience working as an addiction and mental health counsellor/therapist and transformational coach, I bring a unique perspective to psychedelic healing work. My approach is firmly rooted in harm reduction and evidence-based practices and is deeply influenced by my own personal healing journey, including transformative experiences with psychedelics. Description of Services:Overview of Psychedelic Services Offered
The Intention of My Work
My primary intention is to help the individuals I work with feel safe, supported and accepted exactly as they are as they explore their inner world, connect to their innate ability to heal, and navigate their unique journey of self-discovery, personal growth and transformation. I deeply respect and honour the autonomy and free will of all the individuals I work with, while upholding integrity; ensuring that I do not enable or support my clients in causing harm to themselves and/or others.
Who I Support
My services are designed for individuals who are in recovery from addiction/substance abuse, seeking guidance and support for mental health and trauma recovery, and anyone looking to enhance their personal growth and development through the safe and responsible use of psychedelics.
Harm Reduction:
As psychedelics increasingly enter the mainstream, so does the need for harm reduction. A harm reduction approach attempts to educate, reduce risk, and promote safety for those who are engaging in the use of psychoactive substances. Harm reduction puts emphasis on the individual’s autonomy and rights and aims to reduce the harms that are associated with substance use, including psychedelic substances. It rejects previous disease, moral or abstinence-only models, looking to shift the narrative away from blaming people who use mood-altering substances on moral grounds to work with them to empower thoughtful decision-making. Harm reduction can be exercised before, during, and after a psychedelic journey.

Intake Process:Intake Process:
The intake process begins with a complimentary 15-30-minute discovery call. This initial session is where we explore your unique goals, address any concerns, and assess your suitability for psychedelic coaching/counselling. It's a chance for us to connect, for you to ask questions, and for both of us to gauge if this is the right path for you.
After our initial conversation, I’ll provide you with a comprehensive intake form. This form is thoughtfully designed to dive deep into your personal history, aspirations, and the specific challenges you are facing. It's a crucial step in customizing your psychedelic coaching/counselling experience, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of your needs and tailor my approach accordingly.
Overview of Protocol:Psychedelic Preparation Counselling/Coaching
Psychedelic Education: A big part of the preparation phase is providing my clients with the education about the experience ahead. At this point, it’s crucial that the individual looking to work with psychedelic substances has the full picture of the potential risks and benefits associated with a psychedelic journey. This can be done by providing resources as well as directly educating clients.
Intention Setting: I work collaboratively with my clients by supporting them in aligning their psychedelic journey with their personal values, aspirations and healing goals. This phase is focused on helping the individuals I work with gain a clear understanding of what they wish to achieve, and setting a grounded, purposeful direction for their journey.
Next, I support my clients in focusing on creating a stable, supportive environment both internally (their emotional state and mindset) and externally (their physical setting). This step is crucial in establishing a safe, nurturing space for their experience.
Integration Counselling and Coaching:
Post-psychedelic journey – where the real work begins. The timing and duration of psychedelic integration can vary from person to person, and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to this process. Many individuals choose to begin integration work soon after a psychedelic experience, but a period of rest can be an appropriate and essential first step. In integration work, the role of a psychedelic counsellor/coach is facilitative rather than prescriptive. My intention is to help the individuals I work with feel safe and supported as they explore their psychedelic experiences, and apply their own personal meaning, ensuring that their autonomy is respected. This aligns with harm reduction principles, which prioritize the client’s control over their own healing process.
Psychedelic experiences are believed to lead to a period of increased neuroplasticity (the brain's ability to change, adapt, reorganize, or grow new neural networks) that lasts for anywhere from a few days to a month or so. Participating in integration counselling/coaching during this period can allow individuals to explore and process the immediate emotions that arise and translate fleeting insights into lasting life changes.
Integration is not a one-time event but an ongoing process, which can be challenging for individuals to navigate and integrate on their own. Having a strong, established connection to a skilled professional who can hold a safe, nurturing space for processing psychedelic experiences, and the emotions and insights that arise during and after a journey, is ideal.
During the integration phase, I support my clients in making sense of their psychedelic experience and grounding insights gained into actionable steps in their daily lives. This may include assisting clients in incorporating new, healthy practices and habits into their lives such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, creative expression, or any other activities that support their mental and emotional well-being. Consistent practice of these healthy habits reinforces and deepens the integration process, ensuring that the transformation and growth an individual can experience during the psychedelic journey is not temporary but rather a sustained, embodied part of their personal growth and development.
