Connect with a Heading provider from the comfort of your own home.Let care come to you. You and your provider will collaborate on your personalized treatment plan, which may include medication and virtual psychiatry follow-ups, virtual therapy, or a combination. Some patients in Austin and Dallas also come to our centers for interventional treatments.

Overview of Experience:Prior to treatment you will receive a consultation with a psychiatrist to evaluate the appropriateness of treatment. Once scheduled for treatment a nurse will guide you through the important need-to-know information to help you prepare. When you arrive for treatment you will be greeted by our front desk staff, and then taken back to your private treatment room. A psychiatric nurse and medical assistant will support taking your vitals, and you will meet with your psychiatrist before starting the medication. All visits last for about 2 hours, and arrangements will need to be made prior to ensure a safe ride home as you will not be able to drive a vehicle again until you've had a good night's rest. For those who are also seeing a Heading therapist, an appointment is most often scheduled with 24-72 hours of ketamine treatment to optimize the neuroplastic window that comes from treatment and support further integration.
Intake Process:When you reach out for a consult you will connect with a Care Coordinator who will help schedule your consultation. All consultations are virtual psychiatry appointments where your provider will determine appropriate treatment planning, which may include IM Ketamine or Spravato®, or other lines of service that Heading can provide.
It is possible that during your initial Care Coordinator call you will discover that Heading isn't the right fit, and in those instances we strive to provide referrals to other providers and facilities that might be a better match.
