Privacy Policy

At Third Wave, we understand that privacy matters and we do our best to protect yours. Here are some of things you should be aware of if you decide to share your personal information with us:

  1. The information we collect may be stored and processed in a country other than yours, which may have different data protection laws than where you live. That said, we do our utmost to treat your data securely and only transfer it to jurisdictions where adequate controls exist.
  2. This privacy policy only applies to information we collect through this site. It doesn’t apply to third-party sites, even if we include a link to those sites, so be sure to check out their privacy policies too.
  3. The information we collect from you may include:
    • Personally-identifiable information (PII)—such as your name, email, or address—which we may use to contact you with newsletters, marketing, or promotional materials. You can always opt-out of receiving these communications by unsubscribing. If you’re having trouble unsubscribing, contact us at [email protected] (include the word “Unsubscribe” in your subject line). If you’d like to access your PII, correct errors, or remove your PII from our systems, email us at [email protected].
    • Usage data (non-personally identifying information such as your IP address or domain name, country of origin, the mobile platform you use, your browser, the time you spend on the site, or the pages you visit). We may use this information to improve our site or provide it to third parties, including advertisers, on an aggregated and non-personally identifiable basis.
  4. We may also use your information to:
    • enforce this privacy policy
    • contact you or respond to you inquiries
    • process transactions
    • maintain your account
    • notify you about changes to our services
    • customize content
    • provide customer support
    • maintain the security and integrity of our site
    • conduct research or surveys
    • improve our site
    • monitor how our services are used
    • share information that may interest you
    • troubleshoot problems and address technical issues
    • detect and protect against error or fraud
    • enable third parties to provide services, such as product billing
    • respond to legal requests from government authorities
  5. We may collect information through “cookies”, which are alphanumeric identifiers inserted and stored by your web browser, on your hard drive, or via mobile IDs. This may allow us to track and store information about you for purposes such as: recognizing when you return to the site, tailoring the site to your needs or preferences, and personalizing content so you enjoy your visit. Cookies can also be used to control the display of ads, track how you use the site, and record registration information. Some browsers allow you to prevent cookies from being downloaded on your computer; this may limit your ability to use certain portions of our site.
  6. Third Wave has adopted security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction of the data we collect. Sometimes, this data may be accessible to our teams (administration, sales, marketing, legal) or external parties (technical service providers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies). If you’d like a list of these parties, let us know.
  7. We may process your personal data if: you’ve given us consent to do so for one or more specific purposes, we need to perform a service for you, we need to comply with a legal obligation or meet the public interest, or it’s necessary for other legitimate purposes. While we may be allowed to process your data in some jurisdictions unless you opt-out, this doesn’t apply if your data is subject to the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  8. We retain your personal data for as long as we need it to perform the purpose it was collected for, or for a longer period if required by law. Once the retention period expires, all personal data is deleted.
  9. If Third Wave enters a merger or acquisition, we may transfer or assign your data as part of the transaction—and we’ll notify you in advance. In the unlikely event of our bankruptcy, we may not be able to control how your PII is used.
  10. Although we take security seriously and upgrade our security technology as required, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee your data’s absolute security. If you ever discover inaccuracies in our data or your PII, or become aware of your information or PII being made available online without authorization, we urge you to notify us immediately.
  11. Where the GDPR applies, 3W Wellness Inc. is the data controller. Under GDPR:
    • We may process your personal data if we need to perform a contract with you, you’ve given us permission to do so, the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your rights, for payment processing purposes, or to comply with the law.
    • You may have the following data protection rights: the right to access, update, correct, or delete your personal information; the right to object to our processing of your personal data; the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data; the right to receive a copy of your personal data; the right to withdraw your consent to process your personal data at any time; the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your personal data.
    • Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. To exercise any of your rights, please email us at [email protected].
  12. We may employ third parties to provide services on our behalf (such as analytics, user registration, database management, ecommerce, payment processing). These third parties will only have access to your personal data to perform these specific tasks. If such a platform service works through geographically distributed servers, it may be difficult to determine the actual location where your personal information is stored.
  13. If you visit our website and express interest in a product, we may use Google to serve you advertisements based on information gathered during your visit. You can opt out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting their Ads Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
  14. If you visit our Facebook page, we may use Facebook Custom Audiences to serve you advertisements, provided you’ve given us permission to do so. We might also use information associated with your social media accounts (such as demographic data, title, industry, or organization) to improve our marketing efforts.
  15. There are a variety of third-party systems we may use to offer services, process data, track site activity, send out messages, conduct analytics, process payments, optimize traffic, display third party content, or protect against SPAM. These may include data processing solutions, database management systems, analytics services, payment processors, content distributors, and SPAM protection services. Each of these organizations will have their own privacy policies. For a list of the services we use and a link to their privacy policies, see our long-form privacy policy.
  16. This site is intended for audiences over the age of 21. In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, we do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose PII from children under the age of 13. If we ever discover we have done so inadvertently, we delete it as soon as possible. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected PII from your child under the age of 13, please email us at [email protected] so we can delete this data.
