About Me:Hello! My name is Sophia. I am a Registered Psychotherapist, a Canadian Certified Counsellor, a Registered Dietitian, a yoga and mindfulness teacher, and most importantly, a fellow human navigating the complexities of the human experience. I hold both a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
I am the owner of Superbloom Wellness, a private practice that offers both psychotherapy (individual and couple's counselling) and dietitian services.
I am deeply passionate about walking alongside clients looking to heal from various forms of trauma, such as complex trauma (including C-PTSD), relationship trauma, childhood trauma, narcissistic abuse, and intergenerational trauma.
I specializing in supporting clients through healing the impacts that trauma can have on their most important relationships: including their relationship with self, with others, with their body, and with food.
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Somatic Approaches, Attachment Theory, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
When I'm not working, I enjoy watching true crime documentaries or Reality TV, reading the occasional cheesy novel, trying out new recipes, and spending time with family and friends.
Description of Services:Experiencing trauma does not have to hold you back. I specialize in supporting those who are navigating how past childhood, relational, betrayal, intergenerational, or complex trauma may have impacted their relationship with themselves, their body, and with others. This may present itself as struggling with self-esteem, body image, emotional/binge eating, attachment, relationship struggles, people pleasing, anxiety, perfectionism, or with just feeling “enough”. Together, we can process past trauma, nurture our unique nervous systems, break patterns that keep us feeling stuck, and move towards a life of self-trust and embodiment.
Relational trauma can start as early as childhood, potentially stemming from experiences like having a parent who is psychologically immature, harsh, or narcissistic, or grappling with the challenges associated with being a child of immigrants. Others may experience it later in life, often in intimate relationships, following a betrayal or infidelity.
Healing from these hurtful experiences is possible. I work collaboratively with clients to heal challenges & attachment wounds at the roots. My services would be best suited towards those who are looking for a down-to-earth, holistic, somatic, compassionate, and conversational approach to therapy. Ready for the first step?
