About Me:I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California and currently offer services in Tustin. My approach is trauma informed, and incorporates depth work, attachment theory, ecopsychology and parts work. What does that all mean? I am a therapist that likes to get to the root of one’s struggle or suffering. This can require at times, understanding how our attachments and childhood have impacted us and led us to possibly unhealthy relationships or patterns. I incorporate ecopsychology as I find that connecting to nature, the earth and animals helps individuals reconnect to parts of themselves that modern society tends to overlook. I also utilize parts work to help individuals recognize the complexity of being a human, having conflicting parts within us that are often out of alignment with our values or needs, and being able to show compassion towards these parts who often are simply trying to shield or protect us from old hurts or wounds. My passion is helping individuals understand themselves, find a true sense of identity and purpose and recognize their own unique strengths.
My focus is to ensure my clients have a space that is free of judgment, and this means that I welcome clients of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship styles. I utilize a sex-positive, body-positive, trauma-informed, and identity affirmative perspective in supporting the client’s self-discovery. My passions are often the things in society that we have been taught to avoid or become too scared to talk about. In sessions, all parts of a client are invited and welcomed into the process to allow individuals to release any fears or shame they may be carrying from having to hide aspects of themselves due to judgment or stigma. I create a safe place, to sit in the “in-between” and connect with our shadows and wounded parts so that you can finally show them the love and understanding that they have needed all along.
I have a Certificate of Ketamine and Psychedelic Medicine Training through PRATI, a certificate of completion of Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy through Fluence, and completed a Guiding Psilocybin Sessions workshop conducted by Mary Cosimano, LMSW, Director of Guide/Facilitator Services at the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research as well as a Meditation and Contemplative Science for Psychedelic Practitioners workshop. I am also completing a Sex Therapy Certification through the Sexual Health Alliance. I have received training on how to merge psychedelics, sexuality, and pleasure and enjoy merging my passions of psychedelics and sexual health in my work with clients.
Description of Services:I specialize in working with young adults and adults coping with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, relationship/family issues, exploration of sex, sexuality, gender identity and sexual orientation and exploration of spirituality. I have knowledge and experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as individuals in consensual nonmonogamous, polyamorous and open relationships. Common sex related concerns I work with include desire discrepancies between partners, difficulties with arousal or orgasm, painful sex, exploration of kink and nonmonogamy.
I provide psychedelic preparation and integration services as well as in person individual Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions. Together we will co-create a safe space to help you feel ready and prepared to explore both challenging and beautiful journeys. I will also provide support to integrate any helpful experiences, feelings, and sensations that you can take from your journey and incorporate in a practical and approachable way in your day to day life. Overview of Experience:If you are a new client seeking KAP services, I request a minimum of 4 sessions prior to any KAP session. These sessions include intake, preparation, rapport and trust building that is essential to the KAP process. We will go over important history of concerns, goals for KAP, what to expect, and exploring and setting intentions. Integration sessions will occur approx 24-28 hours after KAP sessions and this is where I will assist you in taking what you explored or uncovered in your KAP session and finding ways to apply it in your ever day life.
Intake Process:We will start with a 15 minute phone consultation to see if we may be a good fit. From there we will do an intake session to delve in further and determine if KAP is suitable for your goals.
