About Me:I truly believe that we deal with things when we are ready. We heal best when we can subscribe to our own timeline, using the constructs that work best for us without pressure or judgement. That is exactly what you get when you step into my office or meet with me virtually. My job is to create a safe, compassionate environment for you that you feel comfortable exploring those things that you want to bring to therapy. Those things that when processed will help make you a healthier, stronger, more enlightened individual.
Since obtaining my graduate degree in Counseling Psychology form Fitchburg State College in 2004, I have worked in a variety of settings and have provided a variety of services. Early in my career I worked in a hospital in patient setting and then moved to community based mental health work. Within the last 10 years my focus has been on private practice and private consultation services.
Most recently I have obtained a certificate in Plant Medicine from Cornell University and pursued further education in the area of serotonergic entheogens and psychedelics.Description of Services:Integrated therapy utilizing plant medicine takes a holistic approach based on what you, the client, is comfortable with. It also means different things to different people. Some people want to learn how to integrate plants into their daily lives to aid with the management of panic attacks, anxiety or depression. Some look to plants to provide a more spiritual exploration of one’s ego and life experiences. In my practice I combine traditional modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Psychotherapy to prepare you for your journey. The next step is then integrating what you have experienced in your journey and help guide you through changes that will have a positive impact on your life, relationships and the way you understand the world.

Overview of Experience:Engaging in any therapeutic process can be intimidating and overwhelming. My goal is to reduce those feelings and create a safe, engaging space for you to explore yourself. Providing you with authenticity, attentiveness and curiosity will allow us to develop a genuine rapport. This is your therapy, your journey. This work does require a commitment - a commitment to yourself. I do not tell you what to do or how to do it. We brain storm and discover together. I will ask you about your history, your interests in plant medicine, and your objectives. We will outline your intentions before engaging in your journey and we will explore the different possibilities to utilize after your journey. This will help you reach your goals and integrate the insights and lessons that you have learned.
Intake Process:Prior to beginning any work together we will have a conversation to determine if we are a good fit for one another. The next step is the intake process which is typically a 45 minutes session. There is basic psychosocial information, demographic information, medical history, current presenting issues and a symptom checklist that you need to complete prior to the first session. Confidentiality is also my number one goal as this is such a personal relationship and experience.
