About Me:I am a licensed psychotherapist, registered dietitian, and certified yoga teacher who specializes in anxiety, trauma, and eating disorders. I integrate several modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Somatic therapy to treat the whole person and gently guide her clients in experiencing the brain-body connection. I believe in the power of non-ordinary states of consciousness in healing trauma. I am trained in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy as well as MDMA therapy through MAPS. I supervise and mentors pre-licensed therapists in her private practice.

Overview of Experience:Making the decision to explore Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy can feel overwhelming and bring on a level of uncertainty. During the preparation session, I provide psycho-education and design a treatment plan that will best support your healing journey. Each KAP session lasts about 3 hours. During the first 20-30 minutes we do a mini-therapy session where we discuss the process of taking the medicine, review intentions, and engage in grounding exercises to release any anxiety or tension before taking the medicine. You will wear a blindfold and listen to music curated for inner exploration. The experience can last anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes. I encourage clients to stay with the experience as long as they feel comfortable and return to the external world at their own pace. I leave time to process the experience if that feels comfortable to you. We schedule an integration session for 2-3 days post-KAP session to further integrate your experience with your life. Ketamine acts on the glutamate receptors in the brain. Glutamate supports the synaptic connection of neurons which is the reason for creating a positive self-care experience within the first 24-72 hours of your ketamine session.
Intake Process:I do a comprehensive intake and partner with psychiatrists who perform the medical evaluation. We collaborate to determine the best practices to move forward with treatment. We rule out any contraindications, from medication to medical issues, as well as psychological or trauma-related issues. It is of utmost importance that we use ketamine as a healing tool and if you are in a situation that doesn't support the process then we most likely will not move forward with treatment.
