About Me:I am a licensed mental health counselor in private practice in New York City who works with individuals, couples, and groups utilizing a psychodynamic and humanistic approach to focus on the whole individual highlighting concepts such as free will, self-efficacy, and self-actualization. When fitting, I also work with spiritual components found in a person's journey and invite them to consider deeper parts of themselves in self-exploration. I strive to help people see their life’s ongoing journey as an endless source of wisdom and draw on internal strengths with innovative methods.
My specialty lies in helping folks prepare for psychedelic experiences (dosing, medicine choice, set-and-setting), and in the integration of their psychedelic experiences since sometimes sorting through these essentials can prove challenging.
Additionally, I take pride in helping people with ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, PTSD, relational issues, low self-esteem, and loss of purpose. I help people gain insights into some of these challenges and navigate the world in better ways. I am also an advocate for improving the understanding of neurodiversity in mental health in our society.
Description of Services:I completed a dual Masters degree in Counseling Psychology at Columbia University as well as a Masters in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, where my studies focused primarily on ritual and urban shamanism. I am a certified therapist by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in MDMA-assisted psychotherapy and am currently working with MAPS on FDA-approved clinical trial studies, as a co-investigator/co-therapist on PTSD. I have also worked as an educator and trainer with MAPS-PBC, Naropa University, SoundMind, and Fluence. My training includes cultural competency to work with diverse minority populations. I am bicultural, bilingual, and a multiracial Latina, born in Colón, Panamá, and raised between Panamá, Germany, and the US.

This intake will involve your medication history, some familial relationship history, and current emotional state. I will also ask you about your spiritual practice if you have one.
