About Me:I am a specialist in living fully alive beyond trauma and the owner of The Attach Place Center for Strengthening Relationships, LLC.
I am the author of Drowning With My Hair On Fire: Insanity Relief for Adoptive Parents and the founder of The Attach Place. With 35+ years of experience and training in marriage and family therapy, I began specializing in attachment and trauma treatment 24 years ago after bringing my two children home from the foster care system.
I have been fortunate to receive training from master psychotherapists, including Virginia Satir, Karyn Purvis, James Framo, Francine Shapiro, Marsha Linehan, Sue Johnson, Bruce Ecker, Pat Ogden, Daniel Siegel, Daniel Gottman, Peter Levine, Dan Hughes, Bruce Perry, Bessel van der Kolk, and many more.
I am certified to provide Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and am delighting in helping those who have valiantly struggled with complex posttraumatic stress, depression, and anxiety lift the veil on symptom-free living. Living fully alive in your life is my goal for all who walk through these doors.
I am also the stepmother of 2, grandmother of 2, and rescue mom of 6 dogs and 3 feral kittens! I learned in the thick of raising my children from difficult beginnings just how important it is to cultivate a loving relationship, quality friendships, work/life balance, and trauma-informed support to make life fulfilling and joyful.
My book, published in 2016, is a compilation of supportive love letters to adoptive parents designed for daily inspiration for thriving in one of the toughest jobs on Earth--parenting traumatized children.

Description of Services:The Attach Place Center for Strengthening Relationships, LLC is dedicated to providing all services from a Love Matters point of view. We focus on living fully alive beyond trauma.
We are specialists in healing from attachment wounds and trauma to living fully alive in your life. All of our clinicians are licensed Marriage and Family Therapists skilled in the treatment of family trauma, early childhood trauma, and other life event trauma. We use many state-of-the-art mental health treatment modalities, such as Neurofeedback, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Somatic Experiencing, Theraplay for Children, and Coherent Narrative Therapy.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is a treatment we have unfolded to support those who have treatment-resistant symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD that have not been wholly helped by psychopharmacology in conjunction with psychotherapy. Talk therapy and traditional medications do not work for everyone.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) has been approved for use now in the United States and that is an incredible gift to those who suffer and are determined to find relief.
