About the Retreat:Ready for an inward journey? Discover the power of a 5-day mushroom retreat in our Nature Temple.
A Transformative Journey Within: Your 5-Day mushroom retreat
Sometimes you sense it's time for a change. Not just a minor adjustment, but a fundamental shift in how you relate to yourself and the world. Perhaps you're stuck in old patterns, seeking healing after a time of inner neglect, or feeling a deep longing to discover what lies beyond the veil of everyday consciousness.
At the Nature Temple, one of the oldest psychedelic retreat centres of the Netherlands, we understand that call. We've been facilitating safe, profound journeys into the subconscious since 2008. In our unique Nature Temple, we offer you the space to let go and transform. A 5-day psilocybin truffle retreat with us is more than a break; it's a reboot of your system, supported by the wisdom of nature and an experienced team. You are in good hands.
What does a 5-day mushroom retreat program look like?
A 5-day mushroom retreat is carefully structured to guide you deeper into the process step by step. While each group has its own dynamic, the structure generally looks like this:
Day 1: Landing and Connecting
You arrive in the tranquillity of nature. The arrival day offers a practical introduction to the retreat and place. We meet the group and the guides, have diner and talks with the other participants. We also have a one-on-one conversation with one of the facilitators where you can ask personal questions.
Day 2: The First Ceremony
The breathwork session, voice expression and medicine wheel ceremony are a deep and intentional preparation. In the late afternoon you'll be ready to start the first psilocybin mushroom live music ceremony.
Day 3: Integration and Rest
A day to let the experiences sink in. We use sharing circles, body work and also free space to process the insights. Rest is essential for the brain to consolidate new connections. You can go for a long walk, do some journaling or chill out on the sundeck.
Day 4: The Second Ceremony
We start the day with an energizing dance, followed with a good meditation session. The meditation moves seemlessly over into the 2nd ceremony. A carefully selected playlist this time. Now that you are comfortable with the space and the guidance, you often dare to delve deeper. The second journey often takes you to the core of your themes, supported by the safe environment established in the preceding days.
Day 5: Closing and Departure
We make space for sharing, good food and an integration workshop. How do you take these insights home with you? You leave not only with a memory, but with concrete tools for your daily life.
The Unique Power of the Nature Temple
There are now a wide range of psilocybin retreat providers, and it's important to choose a location that suits you best. While peer organizations like Synthesis (often focused on a clinical or luxury hotel setting) or Essence Institute (strongly focused on leadership and business) do wonderful work, we distinguish ourselves through our radical commitment to nature and authenticity. For us it is not a job or a hobby, but a way of life. The main difference between us and other retreat centres is that we live at this place as well. You really visit us as our personal guest, you are truly involved in our off grid lifestyle and philosophy.
Further we believe that set and setting define your experience. Our ceremonies take place in the Nature Temple, an architectural work of art built according to the principles of bio-architecture and sacred geometry. No suspended ceilings or cold conference rooms, but organic shapes, clay, wood, and a direct connection to the earth and sky. It took us 13 years to build this unique ceremonial space ourselves and with the help of many volunteers. This earthy foundation ensures that you feel supported by something larger than human hands. It helps you not only travel in your mind, but truly embody the changes and insights. The whole centre breathes inspiration and dedication; this is what you bring home!
Who is this suitable for?
Our participants are people like you: seekers, professionals, parents, and artists of life. Reasons for participating vary, but we often see people who:
- Are at a crossroads in their lives and are looking for direction.
- Are curious about spiritual growth and self-exploration.
- Are recovering from a difficult period and want to give their nervous system a rest.
- Are open to receive new inspiration in a creative processes.
- Want to process grief or old trauma in a safe setting.
We intentionally limit our groups to a maximum of 15 participants, creating a diverse and inclusive environment with individuals of all genders, nationalities, and backgrounds. To ensure clear communication, all activities and discussions are conducted in English.
In today’s fast-paced world, many people feel overwhelmed by the impossible demands of daily life, the pressure to perform, and a growing disconnect from their true, authentic selves. If you feel like life has lost its magic, purpose, or fulfillment, the transformative potential of psychedelics may help you rediscover your inner spark and reawaken your spirit.
Our participants come together with a shared intention: to create a more meaningful, rewarding life. Within the safe and trusting atmosphere of the group, you’ll find understanding, recognition, and the opportunity to form genuine connections. Many lasting friendships emerge from these shared experiences, adding another layer of support and inspiration.
Safety and Guidance: Our Top Priority
Is a psilocybin mushroom retreat safe? That's a valid and important question. At the Nature Temple, safety is our top priority. We use a comprehensive intake procedure to rule out physical and mental contraindications (such as heart conditions, pregnancy, or psychosis sensitivity). We accept participants aged 21 and over.
Our team consists of highly experienced guides who have been working with plant medicines for years. Experience counts: since 2008, we've guided thousands of people. We're not here to direct you, but to support you ('holding space'). We create a 'safe container' where all emotions can flow. Whether you're experiencing intense sadness, euphoric joy, or profound silence, we'll stay with you. Our style is warm, down-to-earth, and open. Should an experience become challenging we're there to help you breathe through it and extract the lessons learned.
Description of Services:Why choose a 5-day mushroom retreat?
In our society, we've become accustomed to quick fixes. But profound transformation requires your time, your full attention and a comprehensive integration. This is precisely why we believe in the power of a multi-day immersion. During a 5-day mushroom retreat, you completely step away from the hustle and bustle of your daily life. You give your nervous system the chance to truly unwind before the psychedelic ceremony begins. You make sure the new seeds land in fertile grounds.
The great advantage of a 5-day program is the space for deepening. While a one-day ceremony often feels like a "peak experience" after which you're immediately stuck in traffic, a five-day journey offers a complete cycle: landing, opening, experiencing, processing, and integrating. Our 5-day program typically includes two ceremonies. The first ceremony opens the door and clears the ground; the second ceremony often brings you to the core of your intention. Between journeys, there's time for journaling, physical expression, organic food, and meaningful conversations.
