About the Retreat:Camino al Sol: A Sacred Path to Purpose
Nestled in the Colombian Andes at Yaogará, Camino al Sol isn’t a getaway—it’s a living prayer rooted in ancestral wisdom. Supported by families who’ve honored sacred practices for over twenty years, we offer a reflection—not a map—so guests might remember who they truly are.
Our approach is grounded in simplicity, respect, and presence—values handed down by our elders. Through ceremonies with yagé, coca, and tobacco, we create space for genuine healing, not spiritual tourism.
Here, healing isn’t a spectacle—it’s an invitation. Retreat life is woven into daily existence: from meals and plant baths to sacred ceremonies and forest walks. Every element invites you to return—with clarity, courage, and an awakened heart.
Description of Services:Camino al Sol offers traditional yagé (ayahuasca) ceremonies in the Colombian Andes, guided by experienced taitas and medicine women from trusted lineages. Our retreats are intimate, with 8–18 guests, allowing for personal attention and deep connection.

-
Ceremonies – Up to 2–3 yagé sessions per retreat, supported by coca, tobacco, and traditional songs.
-
Integration – Group sharing circles, guided reflection, and practical tools for bringing insights home.
-
Preparation Guidance – Dieta recommendations, intention-setting, and mindset support before arrival.
-

-
Nutritious Meals – Plant-based, gluten-free menu aligned with traditional medicine diets.

Overview of Experience:At Camino al Sol, your journey begins well before you arrive. We guide you through preparation with dietary recommendations, intention-setting practices, and clear information about the ceremonies.
Upon arrival in the Colombian Andes, you’ll be welcomed into a safe, nurturing space where tradition is alive in every detail—from the way the land is cared for to the songs sung in ceremony. Over the course of the retreat, you’ll participate in traditional yagé (ayahuasca) ceremonies led by experienced taitas and medicine women. These ceremonies are supported by sacred songs, tobacco, and coca, helping you connect with the medicine on a deep level.
Between ceremonies, you’ll rest, integrate, and take part in activities such as sharing circles, gentle movement, nature walks, or simply quiet reflection. Our team is available for 1-on-1 support, ensuring your physical, emotional, and spiritual safety.
After the retreat, we remain connected through integration calls and resources, helping you anchor your insights into daily life. This is not just a weekend—it’s an opening to a long-term path of healing, clarity, and purpose.
Intake Process:Every guest goes through a careful screening process to ensure safety and alignment with the medicine work. After your initial inquiry or booking request, we provide a detailed medical and psychological intake form. This covers health history, current medications, and emotional well-being.
Our team reviews each submission individually, and in some cases, follows up with a phone or video consultation to clarify details. Approval is based on traditional safety guidelines and modern medical considerations, ensuring that participation is in your best interest.
Once accepted, you’ll receive preparation guidance, dietary recommendations, and logistical details. This process helps create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all participants.
