    About the Retreat:

    Engage your soul with a true Iboga Immersion Retreat. This 5 day 4 night experience follows African teachings with strong ancestral lineage. We come to Iboga to heal and this condensed experience that keeps our grouping together, follows the traditional way of administering iboga utilised in initiation in Africa.

    This is all about the work, the truth, bridging the gap between soul and self without the distractions of the outside world. The waterfalls, beaches and activities can wait, these will happen and happen in new brilliance once you have immersed and met the soul to bring about the ultimate resolution. These are for the end of our retreat.

    We work with the Babongo´s of Mboka a Nzambe (The Universal Village of God). We are trained in the Bwete branch called Miobe is a  healing branch and it is devoted to traditional medicine from the forest. It is mainly practiced by the Babongo, Tsogho and Apindji peoples and it has its origins in the province of Ngounié. The Miobe Nganga helps restores the physical and psychic health of man through a series of treatments.

    You come to Iboga for another chance, for redemption of self. It awaits and we feel more than ever that our immersion experience is the most accurate way of experiencing the self in its communication with the soul.

    We do not sell pretty images and ideas, this is not what you need. Healing by speaking with our souls is what we need and this exists through strong spirit, protection and guidance. Join us in becoming yourself

    Description of Services:

    Our retreat program is based on the traditional practices in Africa. It is about immersing yourself with Iboga We come to the temple together on the first day of arrival and we do not leave the retreat centre until the work with Iboga has been done. This retreat is about deep healing not about distractions, trips to the beaches and waterfalls can be done after. Watch the jungles come alive with the iboga spirit in this totally immersive experience.

    1. Monday - ​Transport provided  to Retreat Centre. First Iboga Ceremony tonight 
    2. Tuesday -  Processing Day
    3. Wednesday - Second Ceremony night.
    4. Thursday - Processing Day
    5. Friday - Return transport to Airport/Hotel

    INCLUSIONS

    • 2 traditional Bwiti Iboga Healing Experiences
    • 5 days, 4 nights accommodation at Ikara Retreat Centre
    • Rooms are twin share rooms but you have the room to yourself unless you are attending with a friend/family/partner that you wish to share with. All have their own private ensuite (toilet and sink).
    • Counseling and talk therapy
    • Vegetarian meals prepared with local, organic ingredients that are ethically obtained from within the southern pacific zone. We can cater for any additional dietary needs.
    • Airport/hotel pickup service will be available on the first and last days of the retreat.

    I have been trained as a Nganga in the Miobe branch of Bwete. I work with the people´s of Mboka a Nzambe (The Universal Village of God). The Bwete branch called Miobe is a healing branch and it is devoted to traditional medicine from the forest. It is mainly practiced by the Babongo, Tsogho and Apindji peoples and it has its origins in the province of Ngounié. The Miobe Nganga helps restores the physical and psychic health of man through a series of treatments. It is one of the oldest and more traditional branches of Bwete and close to the mother branch of ''Disumba di muro na bata".

    From birth I have craved, been compelled by and drawn to, that which is missing.
    My feeling of safety, my feeling of being loved, my feeling of trust being paramount in my journey. For me, intelligence is temporary without the resolve that we are indelibly interconnected with a spirit that is within all that we experience. Never have I given up on my journey to see myself and others secure what is theirs by birth rite, by pure will I have sought out western and eastern philosophies, psychedelics and numerous other cultural experiences over a period of 30 plus years in an effort to become more whole and more of myself so that i may assist others in their own journeys through living example.

    After lengthy and ongoing self development, my visionary experience lit my path towards the study of Bwete and Iboga. I have chosen to place my energies in this tradition's great wisdom after witnessing and experiencing its tremendous abilities to merge with the self, to extend the self into the soul realm where we are born, nurtured and free of delusion.

    Ikara Retreat Center Costa Rica is my new home. Having experienced personal transformation through Iboga, it was the catalyst for my ongoing commitment to the study of the self and others emancipation.. My research into undivided wholeness through comparative philosophies and cultures is ongoing. True Bwete is a timeless and pathless land, something that can never be concluded or finished. It is ever beginning and immeasurable. I devote my life now to the tradition of true Bwete as seen from the ancestral roots of Dissumba and its counterpart Miobe.

    ABOUT US: We moved to Costa Rica from Australia and set up Ikara Retreat Centre as a lifelong commitment to providing a space where we may express our intentions and beliefs by conceiving, operating and participating in carefully constructed retreats that develop the individual. For the last 30 years, We have traveled and explored the inner realms of our psyches through traditional entheogenic plants. Explorations with Iboga have provided a direct understanding of how thoughts and beliefs are actualized into experience and through that direct experience comes knowledge. We assist people with their integration process. and use the knowledge we have gained to help guests translate their expectations into a physical form.

    Throughout our lives we have learnt that we create our own experience and that nothing that we experience exists outside of the self. Accountability and responsibility is paramount for a happy life. Through our thoughts and beliefs we attract events that reinforce the beliefs we hold. It is only through observance that we can bring focus to habitual thought patterns and begin to change what we experience in our lives., quite simply by changing our thoughts. Observance of thought allows us to finally see what beliefs we hold. Beliefs that are limiting our life experience and preventing us from being spontaneous and joyous. It is an artform that is our life work. These are the teachings that came with Iboga. For this reason we work with Iboga as it is the perfect tool for people to get instant change in their lives. It is the spirit for the modern world - other plants are transpersonal in nature, Iboga takes you directly to the seat of creaturehood, through a direct soul connection, so that you can change your life for the better,

    Overview of Experience:

    Iboga is a spirit that connect you directly to your soul. Other plants provide transpersonal experiences that show you that other realities exist. Iboga, being a root, takes you inward so that you can learn to live in this physical reality with joy and spontaneity, through a direct connection to your soul. Iboga is not a medicine but it can heal all physical, emotional and spiritual maladies. This is because we live in heaven on earth where thoughts create our experience, Iboga shows you this. It is intense but when used in a true traditional context, it allows you to heal yourself. It is a powerful tool for spiritual advancement but again, you will need to do the work to achieve this.

    Intake Process:

    We ask all guests to fill out a medical intake form (http://ikararetreat.com/ibogaintake). We then speak to you via phone about your specific requirements. We simply ask that guests disclose all information about their current and past medical history, honestly and openly. All information remains confidential. We do not use this information to disclude you from treatment only so we can give you the best advice of what is required to proceed.

    Supplemental Modalities: We offer 1 on 1 counseling and support before, during and after the retreat. We do not charge for these services and our customers are free to contact us anytime if they require additional help.
